People believe that the temple of Jagannath Puri was built by Sri Krishna ji by ordering King Indradaman. But the truth is, that every time King Indra Daman built the temple, the sea broke that temple. Then later Kabir Saheb built the temple of Jagannath Puri by stopping the sea.

 Shri Krishna ji appeared in King Indradaman’s dream and ordered him to build a temple named Jagannath Temple. He commanded that the temple shall not have the practice of idol worship in it, and there shall be a saint in there who shall preach spiritual knowledge according to Holy Gita Ji.

Jagannath-temple 

There is no description of organising any “Jagannath mela” in our holy scriptures, this practice is an arbitrary conduct (According to Bhagavad Gita Chapter 16 Verse 23) and is not beneficial in any way. According to the holy scriptures of all religions, the best practice to attain salvation is to believe in and worship Supreme Lord Kabir Saheb Ji.
